End to End at MSK

14 may 2017 -

Location: Fernand Scribedreef 1, 9000 Ghent (BE)

For the project End To End, the group Performing Objects created a performance score which is inspired by Lean Management. End to End is a working method which structures a collective process within which objects are constantly being transformed. The objects created are continuously being placed in a field again, waiting for a possible new transformation. This work process takes place in silence. Things are discussed in group both beforehand and afterwards. If so required the structure is adjusted.

The End to End method can repeatedly be carried out under changing circumstances, at different locations, with different objectives and by different participants. Variations of the projects have so far been on display in China (Fei Contemporary Art Centre, Shanghai, 2015), Madagascar (CRAAM, Antananarivo, 2016) and ATLANTIKWALL Raversijde Oostend, 2016). This time Performing Objects held a session of End to End at MSK, Ghent as part of the finissage of Objections. Objects from the museum’s backstage was the medium of this performance.
