The Performing Objects group was launched in 2014 and is today formed by a dozen artists who experiment with objects in their artistic practice. At Cc Strombeek Performing Objects presented the personal results of their artistic research between 2014-2022. The current members are Pauline M’barek, Sarah van Lamsweerde, Bie Michels, Alice De Mont, Marjolijn Dijkman, Rune Peitersen, Kristof Van Gestel, Dimitri Vangrunderbeek and Guy Woueté.
In line with their methodology based on exchange, connection and feedback, a public programme was organised concurrently. One Saturday a month, members activate their work through performances, talks, lectures or workshops. Each evening, the programme is ritually concluded with a “Soup Conversation”.
15/10 workshop of Bie Michels in collaboration with Liantsoa Rakotonaivo: Piles of Bricks 5, Brick Game, an improvisation session based on scores that explore the relation of the human body and the object “brick” and that generate a new interpretation with each new configuration.
