concept drawing His Field, 2015, photograph, tracing paper, ink
A film about the daily walks of my father around his meadow and his loss of space. ‘His field outside’ became smaller and smaller. Big walks had to be replaced by the safe inside borders of his domain, with the wire as a possible grip. I walked monthly with him on his tour during a whole year.
The music composed by Joachim Badenhorst underlines the rarefied mood of this repetitive daily action, frightening and comforting at the same time.
This film is been shown for the first time in the M HKA INBOX,
Museum for Contemporary Art, Antwerp, 18/09/15 – 11/10/15
